LAWYERS.COM not entitled to trademark protection

John Welch, over at the inimitable TTABlog, has this summary of the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board’s decision in which it found that Reed Elsevier’s use of the domain name lawyers.com for a law-related database is generic, thus not entitled to trademark protection.
